Thumbs up

Having read so much about all the different mods you guys have made, I cannot handle it anymore and took the plunge and made the transition and installed the TRD upgrades which included STB, LCB and Sway Bars

I have to admit that I am not mechnically inclined at all so I took asked the folks that worked on my 300ZX before and let them do all the ordering and installation. I have to say I am one happy camper now.

The ride is still Lexourious on the freeway with the benefit of much flatter cornering. I really think Lexus should have that setup to begin with!! Anyways, just want to share my excitement

You could have said that was your own lift in your garage and we might have believed you.

Congrats on the upgrades...yes, for something that Lexus is trying to pass off as a "sports" sedan, they should have all those parts included as stock...and the car should be a little lower (at least 0.5") with 17's or 18's (not 16's and 17's)

You should also consider a rear STB...it'll help the rear end stay planted when you hit some not-so-smooth turns...

Default Smooth

The ride is just as smooth. I keep asking myself why didn't I do this earlier! Now I am like a kid in a toy store wondering what to do/get next

I have seen some pics of the rear tower brace, but right now I can't bear the thought of making holes in the trunk... yet.

Congrats on your mods! Where do you suggest purchasing the TRD components, and what pricing should I expect?

RushGS - Trust me, it's no big deal! If you do it right, you won't even be able to see the holes...your rear STB will just "magically" appear through the liner...

Here's a close up pict of my setup...

Default Nice Job

Oh yeah Manaray, that is very nicely done. I c, looks like you can disconnect the bar, push the tower brace thru a cut section, then reconnect the bar and install.

Is that a UGO Rear Tower Brace (RTB)?

I think I want to get the Eibach Springs kits also. Did you feel the RTB stiffen the ride at all? I suppose the RTB also helps the turn in?

Rush,

if you decide to get the eibach prokit springs, and want to do the shocks at the same time for max. performance as well as saving another install+alignment cost later on, please PM me.

i can get a set of BILSTEINS sport shocks to your door for $425, that is ~40% off listed retail prices.

thanks

will

Manaray? Since you dont keep a sig showing mods, what exact suspension set-up do you run? I know you have the 20" HRE's, but would you mind listing the other mods you currently have?? Thanks alot, Tiny

RushGS - Thanks...yes, the bar can be disconnected from the mounts. Most rear STB's do this (at least the ones I've seen). And it is the UGO Rear STB (R/STB?)

The R/STB didn't stiffen the ride much really. I drove my car for quite some time w/o a R/STB and when I installed it, it felt the same as far as stiffness...but what it did do is keep the rear end planted a LOT better when going through turns...especially "wobbly" or bumpy curves (where the road isn't perfectly flat)...BIG DIFFERENCE there...

TinyGS - I'll make a sig soon...I'm trying to figure out how to fit all the crap into a reasonably sized sig...for now, how about a picture of a SIG that I'd LOVE to own instead??? (SIG ARMS 551-SWAT)...
