Look what I found! - Old GS magazine reviews!
I was on a basement cleaning binge today, and that also included throwing out all my old car magazines. Before I threw them all out, i went through all of them to find any old GS/Lexus reviews or brochures.
Top row 1:
~Feb. '93 Motor Trend - Brand new GS300
~June '92 Road & Track - LS400 vs. the rest. No rankings, but obviously it did very well.
~March '92 M.T. - '92 Import car of year SC300/400
Row 2:
March '98 M.T. - US vs. the world (GS400 was stunning!)
Nov. '99 M.T. - GS400 L-Sport review & GS300 in a sport sedan comparo
Feb. '98 M.T. - GS IMPORT CAR OF YEAR - of course!
Nov. 98 Car & Driver - $50K comparo, GS400 ranked #2, 1pt. behind the 540i, but the mag was pretty much calling it a tie
Row 3:
May '00 C&D - GS300 comparo (3rd place)
Oct. '97 C&D - Preview test of GS400 & first time I saw the "Something wicked..." AD.
Jan. '99 C&D - 10 best cars (GS300/400)
Row 4:
July '98 C&D - GS300 #1 vs. 7 cars!
1998 & 1999 Lexus product line brochures from the auto shows.
Man, like I need more reasons to love these cars. I remember reading those new 2GS reviews, and wishing I could have one someday.
Funny how things work out sometimes. If anyone wants a close up of any of them, let me know and i'll snap some more pics. ENJOY!
