Default How much does OEM 17" 01-06 GS Wheel Weigh?

I tried searching the forums but couldn't find the answer to this question:

How much does OEM 17" 01-06 GS Wheel Weigh without the tire?

I am thinking of upgrading and want to compare different OEM and aftermarket options.

Thanks in advance.

without the tire, the stock GS 17 weighs in at 25 lbs.

here is a thread where they compare the weight of the stock LS rim to the stock GS 17. RominL states that the stock GS 17 weighs 25 lbs.

yikes! i had no idea it was that heavy! no wonder why some people say they didn't gain any weight when they went to a larger aftermarket wheel...

i still remember way back when i used to own an integra type-r... i had spoon sw388's on it and i think the wheel weight was ~12lbs?

I just weighed a stock GS 17 rim on the scale tonight (no tire and no center cap). It weighed 23 pounds (my scale only weighs in increments of 1/2 pounds, but it's pretty accurate). So, technically, the rim could have weighed anywhere between say 22.75 and 23.25 pounds.

I would say that's about right. When I weighed my oem 17's (with mich p/s a/s in 245/45) the scale
reading was 50lbs. Subtracting 26lbs for the tire (per weight in tire rack specs) gives a wheel weight of 24lbs. Of course this was a bathroom scale and we all know that each scale can varry a bit. So I guess it's safe to say the oem rims weigh somewhere in the 23 to 25 lb range. Now if someone can get access to a doctor's scale, we'll know for sure.
