Default GS300/400/430 Rear Axle Information

I'm a recent owner of a 2001 GS300 and I'm tring to get as much inforamtion as I can about the workings of the car. I 'm a gear head and I'm tring to get information or an understanding of the rear end on these cars.

Infotmation such as:

What is the gear ratio?

Is the differential open or limited slip?

How are the half safts connected to the gear case?

Any insight or links wold be appreciated.

Thanks

JD

I'm guessing that the 3.76lsd is the same relative to the 3.92 as to how the mini shafts are connected to the diff. Basically, when I got my 3.76, the mini shafts were in a separate bag. At one end of the shaft, there was a sprial thread cut into the shaft. When the lexus tech installed the unit, he applied a bit of grease to each shaft and then used a mallet to seat each one inside the diff unit.
