Default Removal of passenger vent

Hey guys. I've done some searching, and can't seem to locate the answer. Does anyone know how to remove the in-dash passenger vent? I've removed the in-dash center vent several times (the one that sits above the radio/climate control), which is held in by 4 clips, and simply entails taping up a few thin screwdrivers and inserting them between the vent and the surrounding portion of the dash until the clips release and the unit simply pops out. Can the side vent be removed in the same manner? I tried to do it last night, but it wouldn't pop out and I didn't want to force it.

Thanks in advance.

I would have thoght that it just pulled out good thing you did not. From the pic in the service manual you have to remove dash pad and it is held in w/ 2 screws Unless some else hads done it diferrently.
I'll post the manual pic.

Chuck -- I'm still laughing over question no. 1. As for question no. 2, I've had this annoying low-pitched vibration coming from the right side of my car when driving on the highway. It was virtually impossible to pinpoint (just try reaching all the way across the car at 75+ mph to apply pressure to various places and you'll see what I'm talking about). Anyway, somehow, I was finally able to determine that it's just the vent vibrating a bit, so I wanted to pull it out, put some felt tape around it, and wedge it back in there.

I guess it's a good thing I didn't try to pop it out last night. I would have ended up breaking it. Thanks Gillexus.

I was betting against his 5 year old putting something in there.

Looks like a bit of work to get to it. Not hard just time consuming.
