I bought these rims from OEMRIM's on ebay and they are beautiful, they come with the center caps and chrome valve stems. I highly recommend OEMRIM's. I can't wait until April so I can put them on my car. I will be putting Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 225/50/17 tires on these rims.

Any reason you're not getting OEM spec 235/45/17 tires? I've got pilot sport a/s on my car now & they're GREAT!

that is oem spec for 2GS, not 3GS. The 06 17s are 7.5inches wide instead of 8. He probably could get away with 235/45s though.

The stock tire on my car was 225/55R16 80.86 in. circumference. The 225/50R17 are 81.21 in. circumference .43%. I could go with 245/45R17which are 80.67in. circumference .24%. The 235/45R17 only have a circumference of 79.6 in. 1.64% difference.

as long as that's not too big for a 7.5 inch rim, I'd go that route for sure.

Should I get the 235/45-17's because I think the 245's are to wide for the rims and I would prefer the wider tire. I know my speedometer and odometer will be off slightly but will this also affect the NAV system. with these rims I am still within the 3% difference recomended by 1010tires.com.
