Theres other factors to think about.......my car and Mitchs car were dynoed on pump gas, 99.9% of the rediculous numbers you see are on race gas. We also could have went more agressive on the tuning, but after spending this kind of cash, you tend to tune on the side of caution. The V8's will also yield much more TQ in most cases. Trust me when I tell you, these TT GS' are fast, very fast. I used to own an 800hp single turbo Supra.....my GS feels as fast as my Supra did on Pump gas.....without the lag of the big single. In my mind, when you get to a certain point, big dyno numbers are for bragging rights.....ecspecially if you have problems getting traction.

That being said...I hate to be a killjoy, but I believe a TT setup on our V8 can yield far more power...
If a 2.0L 4 Cylinder Engine can get close to 900 AWHP, then I don't see why the V8 with a TT setup can't get the same...see thread...

I agree with TTurboPimp on the tuning of the Evo that they used C16 to get the crazy numbers they did. But that car prior to the current 900AWHP was running about 600or so HP on pump gas as well. That Evo is legendary as it has seriously smoked some VERY FAST cars. When they eventually get that car on the road it will be very interesting to see how fast it can go on the track with it's new numbers. And it does not have the same problems of traction since it is AWD.
Anyway, not to knock flashgordon's TT setup at all. I just think the Toyota V8 can go even further.
Too bad he is selling the car and not continuing on. In my personal opinion, I would much rather keep the TT GS400 than spend that much money on a fugly, Dame Edna, but VERY FAST M5. Yes, I used to own an M3 and I USED to love BMW's but Chris Bangle has truly f'd up the design of the new 3,5, and 7 series BMW car not to mention the Z4 and the X3.
It's so anti-climactic when you finish such a big project and then you don't even have time to enjoy it...Good luck selling it though!
