Need pictures man!
Also, I think you said you can run the wire along under the door sill, does the area under the front door sill just continue through the B pillar and under the back too? And from the back door sill, how does one get the wire into the trunk??
Thanks.
I'd still like to get my car tinted at some point, but not if it means goofing up the nav system.

The Clarion antenna has the connector, and the clarion specific housing around it. You can gently pry off the housing, leaving only the antenna connector. That plugs into the nav unit. On my car, it is in the trunk on the passenger side. I was able to pass the antenna through between the side of the seat into the trunk, there is a small hole there that will allow you to pass wires though without removing the seat.

Do you have any pics or planning on taking any? Thanks!

No, all you need to do is to unplug the stock antenna.

So much for my tint cutout
thanks for the tip. I'll get my hands on an antenna soon.

.
1) How do you get the door sill covers off - just pull the plastic up on front and passenger doors, or do you have to get the metal Lexus plate off?
2) Once you get the wire inside the sill at the rear door, how do you then get it up to behind the seat? It can't come out of the sill because a) that would look ugly, and b) the door probably wouldn't close right.
3) I couldn't make head or tail of your rear seat picture - would I just have to push hard on the edge of the rear passenger seat to be able to see this hole into the trunk?
Thanks for your patience.

1. Actually you can just tuck the wire in, the sills don't need to come off at all.
2. Once you get past the back door, the wire can tuck in underneath the seat and along the trim up.
3. Yes, if you push hard enough, you should be able to make out where it goes into the trunk. What helped for me was that there are already some other wires going through that way, so I removed the trim on the trunk end, and when you press the cushion in, you will be able to see some light shining through.
