Hi Juan,
how are you, my friend?
you need hair dryer and dental floss. many guys here removed their emblems and had great results. there are no holes on the trunk surface, just adhesives.
do it slowly, and try not to touch the surface.

William, how are you buddy? Thanks a lot for replying; I'll get to work right now on removing those suckers.
Few more questions:
My golded borlas look burned, and I want to put them back to their original polished s/s look. Can I do it by using metal polish (like Flitz)?
The last golded things on my car are the wheel ornaments (I have the stock chromed 17"): any way to put those back to chrome? Since I doubt the answer is yes because they're plastic, any other solutions?
Ah, how do I change my signature? It's outdated.
Great hearing from you again Will, and it's always a pleasure to chat with you. Remember I'm an e-mail away: JuanCCos@msn.com.

juan,
no sweat
always good to hear from you.
the borlas: i have no idea; may be others could answer this one, i am sure there are some cleaners/solutions that you can use.
the wheel ornament: as you said, they are plastic, may be you can try e-bay for a new set.

William, it worked like a charm. I used fishing line, my thumbs, and some WD40 for the last traces of adhesive: just as you said, no holes on the trunk, and since the car has seen very little sun in its 4 years, it looks perfect. Thanks a lot again for your suggestion.
I'm starting a different thread on how to remove the gold, since this subject is hardly the place to find an answer.
Tiny, I never heard of that place before, but I'm glad you mentioned it; I currently use Steve Ganz and Sterling McCall lexus in San Antonio for parts (I read Steve can get Lexus parts as well, so I'll try him next time). It's nice to know of a local place where to buy parts in this crappy town; so I'll check it out one of these days. Thanks a lot.
