Hey, I know there have been a few meets lately and was curious has anyone seen Hiro's new blinkers yet???

There was a discussion on possibly a group buy in the classifieds some time ago *IF* people seen them in real life and they liked them. If so, anyone got real up-close pics of them?

Thanks.

i actually seen it @the norcal meet and i was about to buy it when he told me that it not ready to buy yet, but he mention around $380 but it very simple: its a black plastic piece that actually goes over our stock mirror and there two wires (red) (blk) which you have to drill holes into the stock mirror inorder to run the lights and pretty again goes over the stock mirror frame and we still kept our mirror any everything, count me in for the group buy. sorry so long

I was at yesterday's show in Serramonte. Hiro let me try his samples on my car and they fit like a glove. Hope the production units fit that good. There's double stick tape on the inside. Hiro is trying to come up with a larger lens, closer to what Mercedes has. The current lens doesn't wrap all the way around the side. I told him it doesn't look like someone driving on your left blind side would even see the light flash, atleast in the daytime. IMO, I'd like to see a row of 5 or 6 superbright LED's, similar to the LEDs used in the GS spoiler. They could be mounted along the outer edge next to the mirror and facing towards the rear. I think I'll suggest that to Hiro.

Thanks for the responses. I am curious, the add-on glove that you put on the mirror, is it color-matched to the color of your car? Or is it one black thing? I rather be it color matched. Plus, I think your right that the blinker should be longer because it defeats the purpose if other drivers can't see it.

The pieces he had were black, probably because his demo car is black. I don't see why he couldn't offer them color matched. Hiro was seeking our input on these prototypes at the show, which is why I think he hasn't released the product for sale. There's nothing that'll kill a business like mass producing an inferior product. You can e-mail him at: wavy@attglobal.net. He's been responsive to my questions in the past.

RMMGS4, thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

Qbranchcars, that pic actually looks like its not an add-on which I like alot ! I think the blinker should be a little bit longer just like the S-class. I'll email him to see if he is seriously going to make the blinkers longer, if so I am very interested in getting them. I hope people on here are interested too so we can have a group buy?

The fit is superb, I tried them on for many times already. I too wish it to be like S class which wrapped the lens all the way around, but this will do..

all the covers will be prepainted if made in the production, so trouble free =

let's get a number of how many ppl are really serious about buying, then make the action begin

I'm glad that you were satisfied with it Wei. How was the installation and wiring part of the procedure? I hope it didn't take too long.

Bimmers have the side turn signal, benz's got the side mirror blinker, its about time Lexus got something going.
