Dynamat on doors, will it kill road noise?
i have some dynamat in my garage that im about to put on my doors to kill road noise. is this an effective way? what else should i look to use to kill road noise? i read that most of the road noises come from the doors and the tire howl comes from the wheel wells. is this true? how do i cover the front wheel wells?

I was wondering the same thing but I think you will get the most effect if you put it in the front pillars since they cause alot of friction with the wind. The main reason for alot of road noise is the glass so I wonder if there is any noise reducing tint or film available.

A friend of mine put dynamat on the shock towers of his car. It did wonders to the road noise.
But I am curious why you have any wind noise at all. If it wasn't for the snow tires I am running right now on my GS, it would be nearly dead silent at highway speeds.
Here is a few things for you to look into. You can do a search if you want more info on these.
1. Body plugs under the car could be missing. The one right under your feet is supposed create alot of wind noise in the a pillar if it is missing. I believe there are 6 per side of the car that can fall out.
2. Drain tubes for the sunroof. They stick down to far and get buffeted by the wind. It gets worse when it is raining. You can easily check for this one by closing the sunshade. If the wind noise gets better, you need to change the depth they hang under the car.
Hope this helps

My GS is dynamatted for stereo purposes; very serious audio system installed for IASCA purposes - doors (outer skin, both sides of inner skin) trunk (floor, sides and lid), floors, roof etc. My GS is dead quiet at speed. Also, when I close my door, it sounds like I closed a bank vault door.
Gotta love that Dynamat
