Default Bridge Construction, drops of paint on Car!!

Driving to NYC Monday, paint dripped off bridge on onto my car. At first I thought it was bird crap. There are drops on my hood, smeared on my windshield (rain), drops down the side and trunk.

1. Does anyone have suggestions to safely remove this

2. Who would I contact in the state to put a claim in for this?

Thanks!!

you need to get it off as soon as possible. soap, degreaser, clay bar, whatever. I ran over wet orange paint someone spilled in the road once in my ES , man I was pissed.

The same thing happened to me in my 2000 maxima, In staten island. I think I had to contact the port authority and file a claim. They did take care of it though. I just forgot the process. Go to where this happened, and tell the clerk at the toll booth. It is a long process if I remember correctly, good luck.

Get some rubbing compund. Just cheap stuff like Turtlewax brand removed paint off my old black Lexus. Don't press too hard and follow directions. It worked for me and did not mess up my paint. Clay bars work very well for removing stuff also.

Never fear... just read this thread. The guy takes a painters truck and makes it look new again all with stuff you can buy online or locally. Very impressive stuff...

Painters Truck... all clean now!
