I'm in the market of trying to replace my wife's 98 volvo s-70. I have found a 98 gs 300 with 50k silver and grey leather. It is a one owner car. all the services are up to date. It comes with a transferable warranty from lexus that expires in 2004 or 70000 miles. no wrecks, dings or scrathes.
1. What would you buy this car for?
2. If you owned it what would you sell it for?
Before I buy it is going to have an inspection done by the lexus dealer.
3. Is there anything else I need to know about these cars before I make an offer or better yet a decision?

price: asssuming the car has cd, moon roof and leather(premium pkg), no nav or nakamichi sound, the max i would pay is ~$24500-25000.

condition: have either your dealer/ trusted tech check out the car. also look for serial # sticker that is supposed to be on each body panel. if any is missing, most likely the car has been in some fender bender. and make sure there is no wrinkles in the truck : indication of rear ended before if there is any wrinkles.

take a long test drive at free way speed and see if the car feel solid and stable. i have driven 99-00 gs400(20k miles) that has some problem with chasis, and the car was shaking badly compared to my old gs300(93) w/95k miles.
