LOL.. chop the roof like a can? It is cheapear and less complex to just place it over the existing roof. The hood I believe ways more than the roof. That would be more prudent to replace with carbon fiber to cut weight.

Not at all. It is quite tasteful if one does not go overboard with CF all over the car. Seen the M3 CSL

Default Carbon fiber?

I agree that the look would need to be complimented with just a taste of fiber on one part with a nice dark wheel to accent it! I've never seen it on a GS roof top?

If you like it, go for it. jawnthen painted his roof black and it looks nice. This would be similar but with the CF.

You asked for our thoughts. I think it's rice. Nothing you can say or do will sway me from that thought.

How is a full roof OVERLAY not rice? Okay, so you're not overlaying the entire car, but you're overlaying a huge section of it. Yep. Still rice in my book.

Now, if you were replacing the whole panel, that would be different....

If you compliment other parts of the car with CF, like hood and maybe some custom CF work done on the front lip then it would look ok. But at the same time you dont want to go overboard with the CF. Also make sure whoever is doing it does a great job. Places will promise to do CF work somewhat cheap and it can turn out like crap. But if done right I think the whole think will look absolutely sick

I was thinking of adding a stripof CF to the spoiler and clear coating it as well.

I'm not pissed at your opinion. I appreciate your feedback. The sunroof will be intact on the car. If you look at the GS roof area, the sunroof takes up a huge portion. No plans to rip out the roof here. This will not be the only cosmetic mod done to the car. It will be one of a line of cosmetic mods done to the car.

All I can hope for is that you keep it tasteful. And on a black car, it should actually look pretty good.
