just my opinion, but those lights in the back are not that bright stock for a reason. if anyone ever flipped one of those on in the back of my car while i was trying to drive and that **** was all blasting in my rearview id smack them and tell them to turn it off...not to mention how annoying it would actually probably be to the passenger, after looking at something with that amount of light blasting on it for more than a minute itd be sure to hurt your eyes..like trying to read a book or magazine with a freakin led flashlight...that stuff hurts!! i mean all power to dudes trying to act like light houses driving around with their rear doors open and the lights a blazing so their friends can find them driving around town..but otherwise...not for me! anyway though, props to the guy for doing some nice electrical work/toying around with the leds!

Who actually drives "around with their rear doors open and the lights a blazing so their friends can find them driving around town."???

I am sure even retarded people drive around with their doors closed and lights off. These are strictly ENTRY lights. When you open the doors they light up the interior. When you shut the doors, they go off. Plain and simple.

Um, they can be turned on when the door is closed by pushing the button.

Yes they sure can, and they usually get turned off very soon thereafter.

The point I was trying to make is that regardless of how bright they are, they are not left on all the time anyway, so why is it such a big deal?
