NEW MOD'S TOMS GS REAR BRACE & TOMS 6 LINKS
Just wanted to know if any one has these pcs on their GS. Also are there any aftermarket control arms for the GS I can't seem to find any of them.
I think this is going to be my next purchase for the GS Can any one chime in and tell me what you think?
TOM'S GS REAR BRACE $330
TOM'S GS REAR LOWER 6 PCS LINKS $290
Or if you have them please reply to this

If you have lower front bracing, one of these two rear mods are necessary IMO. The second gives you a little more ride tightening but it is a small incremental change compared to the first. I had the read LCB put on before the 6-link. The LCB helped the read end jiggle A LOT whereas the addition of the 6-link was not as night and day. There have been other members who added the 6-link first and loved them.
I am not saying one is better than the other. I AM saying that the first one (whether it is the LCB or the 6-link) really helps.
What's the downside? There is a slight ride degradation. You get better handling and control because all these pieces reduce flex. WIthout this give, however, the ride quality suffers a bit. You just have to pick your poison, I suppose.
I have the Tein CS with all the lower Tom's braces and love it.

Same here as Neo, front and rear Tom's Lower Chassis Braces and 6 links. For me they were well worth it. The car will respond much quicker and with better precision. I also have the Tein CS.

Be careful on the FRONT lower control brace with the GS400/430.
The transmission doesn't clear the center bar.
People have used washers (spacers) on the bolts, but this really isn't the proper way to have it done, but it works..
Getting it cut and welded would be the way to go.
There are a few threads on it..
Here's a warning from TM Engineering..

on par no , above that mark , hell yea , as tony above stated , he drove in my car with all the tom braces , front and rear upper strut bars, daizen sways and bilstein coils , bmw m3's have a hard time shaking me in traffic
the rear braces are esp critical to improve handling of the gs by leaps and bounds.. it ties the rear subframe together which translates into a more solid road feel and more connected driving

need advice from the experts
If you had the budget only for one out of the three :
front lower control brace, rear brace and 6 piece links
which one would you choose?
In other words, which of the 3 Tom's braces makes the single largest contribution towards handling?
I would appreciate if TOM's braces owners could let us know from their personal experience.

You should eventually upgrade to the entire set. Installing one just highlights the "weakness" of the other areas. If you can't get them all at once I would do them in the following order: 1) Tom's lower front brace, 2) Tom's lower rear brace, and 3) Tom's 6-link kit.
Don't forget the front and rear strut braces !!!
