Maybe just one advise, keep that fuse handy. An insurance adjuster might not grant you your claim if he suspects that you tampered with the ABS system.

Anyways, I did the $10 red film on my '99 tails to cover up the orange and that's been my fav cheap mod. I also bought a $2 sunglasses holder and carved a bluetooth headset holder out of the foam that sticks on my visor.

Here are my pics. I suck at night time photography with my digicam. The color is much whiter in person and also more even:
White LED's in the shift indicator
White LED's in the AC controls.
White LED's in the radio and AC again. The radio is a Pioneer model and came with blue LED's which didn't match. I had to use SMD LED's which are literally 1/8th the size of a 3mm LED.
My PDA GPS at 56th and 8th Ave.
Overall view. My clock is white, not red. I guess it was way dimmer than the rest of the white stuff.

its pretty straight forward. you dismantle the climate control, replace the indicator lights with straight 3mm LED's, replace the bulb's for the backlighting (buttons and LCD display) with 5mm LED's + resistors (510ohm) and sand the face of the LED's flat so they don't direct light to a point.
