Default Rod Millen STB?????

Is there any 2000 GS300 owners out there with a Rod Millen Strut Bar! I was told that it would not fit a 2000 GS300!

I was told by a RMM rep that it would not fit a 2000 GS300? The 400 is okay,but I have a 300 with a engine cover?

i think 98-99 gs300 did not have an engine cover. you may get away with using an rmm stb with spacers??someone should chime in.

It is the same motor anyway, wanna just take the cover off??

The rmm stb is perfect fit under the hood, you can only use minimum spacer for it...

Default RMM stb!

Here's a pic of Bluelex's old set up with it on his car with the same engine cover I have? I don't see what the problem would be!

Bluelex has a 98 and added the engine cover. The cover does not mount as well as OEM. Maybe what ever Bluelex did to mount it is different enough to clear the bar.

It looks like adrian has the rubber ring on with the STB but its hard to tell in the pic? Well, that STB is 295.00 so we must be sure that it fits.. IMO i don't see what the problem would be either. There's no wa that 300 engine cover sits higher than the 400.. Is there?

Wringo... What are you going to do?

Actually the 300 engine is higher than the 4x0.

Yes way.

I can confirm that the 300 engine sits higher than the V8 counterpart.

Wringo,

Given a choice between the two I would just remove the engine cover, the RMM brace clears the edfc motors and looks so damn nice, add a Prolex heat shield and maybe polish your intake.

If I remember right the 00-up gs3 with engine covers wouldn't clear the rmm strut bar. I think the 98-99's would clear it with an engine cover. Mine set up was a custom retro fit just to make it stay in place but still the RMM rubbed against it and pressed into the paint on the right corner for some reason. It cleared the rest of the cover and where it did press into the paint didn't matter cuz you could see it unless you removed the strut bar to look. I think your best answer it to look into small spacers like others have used to make them fit on their cars. you should have any issues. You aren't drifting your car. I think something minimal like a 5mm would clear the cover. I think it looks so much better with the cover than without.
