I don't want to sound stupid, but I don't see how the hexagon inside shape is 5/8". I have a 5/8" hexagon wrench, fits right up snuggly into 5/8" socket, and that is too small when I try to fit it in there...

Thanks for the info - I think I may contact a Lexus Mechanic here in Austin and ask them. It looks like it is adjustable even more so than the ones with the female hex. I may even get down under there and give it a shot. I wish there was someone here that knew for sure that is wasnt adjustable.....

Go back and read the original post #12 where I explained this. It should be clear.

OK, here are some pics in case anyone out there is a dummie like me! Thanks those who took the time to help and explain.

I went to Home Depot and got the tools needed. It's just a 12" adjustable wrench, 1 bolt, 2 nuts, and a 15/16" I happen to have in my garage.

Did it in like 15 minutes or so. Hard part was jacking up the car, lol.

To be honest, my car wasn't even shaking before, but I just felt better tightening it up some

I used a plier to turn it. Stuck the thing in and spread open the plier and turned it. It's easier for me since I didn't have bolts or wrench that would work

For those living in metric lands, the bolt is a size M16 and it fits like a glove.

I just done this mod and what a difference a 1/4 turn made, sorry i should say 0.25 turns!

how much did you guys tighten it? did you guys tightened the adjuster tight or just before it gets tight?

when the adjuster hex is tight, my steering tramlines like crazy, and feels a lot heavier. i got tired of it after 10 mins and took it back to the semi-tight position, but that's only a little bit better than what it was before.
