+1...hard to tell, but it looks like the locking ring is snug against threads, need to loosen to adjust.

ok just did this right now.. should take no longer than 5 minutes really lol...
heres what i bought

M16 bolt
2x M16 nuts
Extra large crescent wrench

1). Jack up car
2). Locate steering rack adjustment thing (driver side)
3). Mark the OE position
4). Loosen the locking ring using the wrench (should be 1 1/2")
5). Putt nuts on the bolt and put the bolt into the rack adjustment and tighten (clockwise) 1/8 or 1/4 or however u need...
6). tighten ring
done!

I think the locking nut is more like 1-3/4" -- just borrowed a monster crescent wrench from our shop, gonna do this when I wake up tomorrow!

Damn locking nut won't loosen after WD-40. Also for future reference, the Husky crescent wrench from Home Depot is the perfect size.

If anyones interested -- i bought a spare nut (the one that we have to loosen to tighten the rack); its like $5.00 from sewell. So if you take yours off if its either seized or been on there for a while and you have to hammer at it you can just replace it with a brand new one -- or even make a socket for it.

I got mine for $3.27 on Jan 27 -- I have the recipet to verify that price.

Now it lists for $12.51 with the cl discount on there. $25 dealer charge.

Part No: 4414206010 NUT $12.51

1/16th of a full turn.

If you had violent shakes take a look at your all your ball joints. Look for play in the steering, control arms and lower ball joints.
