2nd Radio = 2nd Bad LCD after 1 week

So on my father in laws stock Pioneer HU LCD was toast. I bought a like new Unit from a guy on this board, installed it and after a few days the LCD started going bad on this radio. I know this guy didn't sell me a bad radio - he couldn't have known the LCD would go bad like that, so soon.
DO you think it could be something with the actual wiring in teh car? Or is it just bad luck?

dunno, BUT no joke, i have a LIKE NEW pioneer stock HU uninstalled in favor of my eclipse navi deck and it is for sale..and i KNOW that thing is in working order.. PM me if you need. lata.

LCD burn out comes as standard equipment on all 98-2000 GS's.
Do a search for replacement LCD parts. Someone on here was able to find a factory replacement source.
You then need to be technically inclined or pay someone to replace it.
Don't buy a used radio. It takes xxx amount of hours before they burn out and that you can never tell how much longer an LCD will last.
