Just wondering if there is much of a gas mileage penalty if I keep my 2001 430 in power mode full-time? What kind of range can I expect on a full tank of gas (mixed city and highway driving); I currently get about 375 miles per tank. Thanks.

You'll probably lose a mile or so a gallon since you'll be holding the lower gears a little longer and downshifting a little easier. Really depends on how heavy a foot you have.
I never measured it on my GS400 and I only have 1200 miles on my GS430 so it's too soon to tell...but I've always driven in power mode.
And truth be told I've never really looked very carefully at my mpg. I just fill it when it's empty. I figure I bought the GS for the GO not for the mileage so what the hell. If you're really concerned about mileage leave it out of power mode.

I'm with Marty. Might lose one mpg or so, but (and hasn't this been done to death?) that only adds up to a few bucks a month, maybe $100/yr.
I bought the car for it's performance, not for great gas mileage, though as has been pointed out before, the level of performance that we get for the mileage we get is unprecedented (at least, if your memory goes back as far as mine and Marty's), so I ain't *****in'.
Otherwise, the Speedvision cop will sentence me to hard time in an Aztek.

my number, do a test 3 weeks in a row
non-power mode : 85% freeway 15% non-freeway: got ~350mile, about 24mpg ==> ran to close empty
power mode, 85-15%, 320 mile, about 22mpg ==> ran to close empty
power mode 50-50%, 260mile, 18mpg ==>1/4 tank left
