I think I got the same problem!!! I felt the pedal not holding pressure a few times now. My friend (a lexus tech) said he never saw a master cylinder go before, then he double checked, and none were ever ordered from the parts dept for the 98-2001 GS. Anyways, he said that sympton can be caused by the rear brake calipers. They go bad on these cars sometimes. Sounds strange to me, but as the problem gets more evident, I'll check it out and let you know.

Ernie,

What's the symptom? How do you know it's the master cyclinder? Is your car still under warranty?

jacob,

how are you? the brake pedal is sticking and popping out. jimy from davenport (lexus service) had a chance to check it out and that was the problem they found. do you have any suggestions? any way to save money would be helpful.

thanks,
ernie
