How much is my car worth?

IMO and experience from selling some of my other modded vehicles (Mustang GT and my Tacoma) both I put close to 8-10K into. It's been my experience that you should get about 40 -50% back in $$$ from your total, realistic investment. So if you put $12K into it......put another $5-6K on top of KBB prices. I've always been to lazy to part it out cause it wouldn't be worth it to me to make another couple of grand and go through all the trouble and hastle.

It's worth what someone will pay- it's just a matter of finding the right buyer.
If you find a kid with rich parents who want to buy him/her a cool car (already fixed-up) or a car person who isn't particularly handy, a modded car can be a great purchase. We're not talking about slammed Civics here with fiberglass fenders and Tenzo wheels, after all. Think about it; if you just wanted a pimp-looking, reliable luxury sedan, that GS would be a steal for $25-$30K. It looks like a $60K+ car, easily.
I've been offered $30K for my modded 2000 GS4 and I turned it down. I couldn't duplicate it for that (I work in the aftermarket industry... connections), and I would have to start all over again.

I have also contemplated what I would get for my GS 400 when I pick up the long awaited GS460 next year and like most of you have said your best bet is to part it out. Hopefully in my case I would hope to sell it as a package to an interested buyer b'cos I would hate to go through the part out process. I guess I will cross that bridge next year. Good luck if you decide to sell yours
