Ok, so i have the Viper 791 Alarm and was wondering, when you guys start your engine, does the wheel come down?
Usually, when we place the key into car, the wheel will come down, and than we'd normally turn on the car.
With my remote start however, it doesn't come down when i insert my key into the car.(Thats with the engine already on)
However, if i don't start my car using the remote start, and put it into the hole like normal, the wheel will come down.
Just wondering, is this normal?

It is suppose to come down whether you remote start the car, or start the car with the key. Mine does both. Once you remote start the car and get into the vehicle to insert the key, it should not move again unless you shut down the car and remove the key from the ignition.

So a question for all of you. If you bypass the transponder key chip, wouldn't the car be easier to steal since the engine immobilizer is gone?
I'm going to do some audio and engine mods stuff over the summer and I need something to protect the stuff or prevent the car from being jacked.
I think the stock system is secure enough to where the car wont be stolen and driven away because of the transponder chip and the key groove is hard to emulate. The stock system probably won't do crap to prevent stuff inside from being taken, thats where the Viper comes in handy. As for the Viper, if the transponder is bypassed, how safe will the car be?
