Default Fixing the wire harness on SRT ecu

looking at getting an SRT intake but it is missing the wire harness for the race ecu. Is this going to be hard to solder back together?? Thanks

What do you mean it is missing the wiring harness? Does the ECU have wires dangling from it? If so, that is the way it comes. There is no type of "plug in" harness.

I am getting pics of it. It is one I am looking at buying. I will see what he means when I get the pictures later.
Then I will post them up for all to see.

You will probably need to call SRT and get a new ECU if I am reading it right and you are missing one. Do you have an ECU or just missing wires from it?

Nah. This will be a piece of cake. Im guessing by the wire issue mentioned that the wires coming directly off of the ECU are missing directly from the circuit board. The only thing that is needed is a picture of the ECU inside the black box container. I would gladly open mine for you but it would void the warranty. Quick and dirty list.

1. Acquire picture of ECU board.
2. If you are **** like myself, acquire the same color wires that are missing. 6 inches will do
3. Fire up your soldering gun and get to work. 15w would be best.

Just make sure you do not heat up the ECU to much, which means do not hold the soldering iron on the circuit board long. If you see the circuit board start to bubble, there's your sign. You might might want to use a solder sucker bulb to remove solder from the hole before you solder the new wires because when you start moving around the wires they might pull free. You can send it to me if you want and I will do it for free. I have modded 37 xboxes to date so this will be cake.

I believe he's referring to the wiring harness that is hard wired to the factory harness and you just plug in the SRT ECU as it only has a 9 pin connector.

hmm I guess different ones come with this connector. Mine had five, I think, bare wires hanging out of the box.
