Well I'm sad because I bought the car last August with about 37,500 on the clock and now, 9 months later, I've already put almost 15k on it ... The way i see it is this, the original owner put 37k miles on this car in 6 years, that's a little more than 6k miles a year. In my first 9 months of ownership i've more than doubled that number !! and by the end of the year I may just triple it !! This is why I'm sad, lol I drive too much, I want to get another DD but I just don't wanna sacrifice the comfort and smoothness of my commute to work every day ...
-btw I also plan on keeping this GS until it either dies on me, or I am able to buy myself a brand new GS, or maybe even an LS
two days ago I hit 150,000. I have a 99 GS300, and it still runs great. The car is not going anywhere; Im keeping it. It treats me great, especially for the commutes in Houston.
lately i've had the itch to trade in my 98 (165k miles).. but this makes me want to keep my car for at least a couple more years
I've had it almost a year now and I've done some of the big preventive maintenence jobs (Timing belt/water pump, control arms, etc.) but it hasn't given me any major problems. I plan to keep it forever.
