I've always liked the look of those Moda wheels too. they look so much like the oem 17s but bigger. to me, thats a good thing.

Yes just the L Tuned shock/strut kit with the springs that come with it. Thanks!

Thanks. And looks like they are closing them out at the Tire Rack, I need a 2nd pair of 18x8 so I better call tomorrow!

Thanks, seems like we have the same taste, your OE 18's are the perfect set up too.

For those of you that asked what happened to my Moda wheels, here's an update:

I stopped by the refinisher's on Friday and picked up the Moda R6's. I've had these for a long time on my GS400 and 88 Mustang Coupe and I have really liked the Moda hypersilver finish. Well it seems with my ever changing wheel ideas I would try something special on these Modas. I found out R6's are discontinued from Radius (Maker of the Moda in Italy) so we'll give this set a special send off, grade finale finish!

Here is a picture of my set of R6's on my 1988 LX Coupe (Prior to visit to refinisher's, hypersilver regular Moda finish on this picture). What is coincidental is that with the brake and suspension work (full disc 13"/12.65" conversion to five lug) I've done on the Mustang, the offset, bolt pattern and width setups translate from GS400 to LX Mustang perfectly. All that I change is the centering ring, the Lexus of course has like a 60.6mm hub and the Ford's around 73mm. I'm really interested to see what these refinished Moda's will look like on both cars!

Here is a picture side by side of the 9" wide rears, OE hyperfinish silver and then the refinished Moda.

Modas came out nice. nice notch-back too. people can say what they will but man those stangs are fun. back in the day I had an '85 notchback with a NA GT-40 crate motor and 5sp that ran 12.80s at 106 mph. super fun cars.
here's a bad pic of my old stang.

The effect will be the same as any other 18" setup, if you were asking about IS rims; or if your question is in general 17's to 18's? Let me see if I can recall when I went from OE17's to 18's...not a good comparo, since my 17's were old, nearly bald, and hard. The new 18's were much much better, handling, ride, etc. But in general 18's will have a slight loss of ride quality vs 17's; but nothing to worry about in my experience with a GS since the suspension is so good. My car is lowered on L Tuned fyi.

i meant more of the IS wheels cause they are staggered. I have 16's on there now, with tires about to bust cords out. dunno what effect the staggered wheels have on a car not meant to have them. I know the 18's will be a harsher ride, but corner better. never had staggered before though.....thanks
