Default GS vibration

is there anybody here that is or have experience vibration with aftermarket wheels, i have 19" HP and i have almost gave up on them i have done all kind of balancing, alligment you can think of,i changed the ball joints, outer tie rods, i have KYB shocks with tanave DF's, last night i was doing major searching on this forum and i found something that made sense, to try to do (steering pretension adjustment ), my question is has this work for any of you guys? and is there are some rims that the GS likes more than others? i will try this ona last thing if this doesnt work i think im going to go back to stock wheels and i really didnt want to do that.
Please give me any feedback you think can help.

Is the vibration front or bacK?
At what speed?
Roadforce balanced, or just regular tire shop stuff?

I was told a couple days ago that all GS's experience some vibration at higher speeds. Kind of disapointing that I can run and hold it at sub 100's any more, but it looks cool.

I've read the postings on the steering tensioner. If I remember correctly the early years like yours are more effected by it than later years.

I have the same problem with my 20's. I had the road force balance done, but it is still the same. At around 50mph the steering wheel shakes, then at 70-80 only my seats seem to shake. At 90mph smooth as silk. I have not tried the steering tensioner mod yet.

I think there are hub-centric rings you can get that will do more to square your wheel on the hub. There are folks on here with more experience with this than I have.

Default Wheel Balance

Had the same issue with mine after I had my tires rotated. Took me 5 times to get it perfect. Before you go back to your stock rims, find a shop with

http://www.hunter.com/PUB/product/ba...1T/3551T-4.htm

a Hunter wheel balancer and someone who knows how to use it! As I said, this was my 5th try and I was ready to give up. I was told (by Goodyear where I got the tires) my stock rims were out of true because of my miles (51k), rubbish of course, but I actually considered getting new rims-which would have been a total waste of my cash.

This may not be the cure, but its got to be worth a try, I have no affliation with Hunter, it worked for me and I was ready to sell the damn car1

Good luck.

is a front vibration, i went to tthe car show yesterday and i meet with a couple of GS owners one of the guys is the owner of a shop he said he would check the drive shaft that can probably hold the key of my issues.

There's a place in West palm called Weber Wheel Alignment.. They have been there for years and they do the Alignment by hand. Its a little expensive but well worth.. Not sure where you live but thought that might help.. Hunter is the best balancing IMO...

Have you replaced your camber plates? with 89k those might be worn as well..

I had a virbration similar to what you had. I had the steering pretensioner tightened. I also had my tires balanced numerous times with no success.

I recently replaced my Control Arm bushings with Daizens and the vibration is gone

The car tracks straight and best of all no vibration above 60mph

Hopefully this helps.

Who is putting on your wheels, and how are tightening the wheels? Some places don't know how to install the hubcentric rings. Also never use a impact wrench for you wheels. Torque it with a torque wrench to 80 ft/lb's.
