IMO chrome only looks good on dark colored cars such as the dark cherry or black. Silver car, go with silver. You can even try bronze or gunmetal.

The wheels you want are mostly bling-bling wheels, which looks better in chrome. I would choose other wheels.

here is the list:

IF you want pure Blingbling go with Lowenhart lines, they are sure very heavy but their design is pure prestigeous. www.hartwheels.co.jp Or the WEDS is pretty good too.

Performance wised, the AVS model 5, is so far the lightest, best looking one piece forged rims I've seen. very sporty. They make some real GUNMETAL rims.

Look/Performance I would say consider the Work Equip 5 spokes, it is a 3 pieces forged rims. They are even more expansive than Lowenhart lines, but these are no doubt the top of the line quality wheels. Also HRE makes strong 3 pieces forged rims too, though the Staircasing lips shied me away from it, but they look awesome in CHROME. Very top quality rims.

so, Lowenhart(www.hartwheels.co.jp), AVS model 5, HRE, Work Equip (www.workwheels.co.jp) Weds, HRE.
Try those.

Erick hehe sometimes play out doesn't mean so bad, cuz everyone recognize them. like if i drive out with LD1 and BR5, people will be like wow LOWENHART. I personally like the LD1 the most! but too heavy as hell.

Work however, will be my next rims =D

well its pretty bad when you see lowenharts day in day out

and there wheels are getting out dated they need new selection
Ld1's are ok, those are the most played out

Ls'1 are nice and not as common as Ld1's

I don't consider 3 piece rims as totally performance wheels. I would say the max 2 pieces because 3 piece wheels are very heavy, even forged 3 piece wheels.

btw Advan Model 5s are not that light. They look good but not the lightest. Lighest wheels you need to look into Racing Hart CP-035 or, to go over 17", TE37 or any Volk Wheels. Volk ONLY makes performance wheels.

I would say, don't worry about if they're light or not because the GS is already heavy. Choose the style you like the most THEN look into the pieces, performance, weight, etc.

I gotta agree w/ Wei on this one, Lowenhart LD1's are definately one of the best looking rims on the GS. I agree that there are quite a few of these rims out there, but that's because they're so awesome. Only bad thing is that they are heavy, however these are still my 1st choice rims that I'm considering.

Wei: It's a good thing that these rims are heavy, all the better to slow my car down with and let everyone check out how nice my car looks.
