Default DIY Chrome Grille....coming along slowly

Hey there again, I felt like modding something on my car but kinda strapped for cash so I decided to do the grille. I used some of my girlfriend's nailpolish remover...yea I know wrong stuff but I'm going to go to the store tomorrow and pick up the right stuff. Anyways it took me an hour and a half to do 3 bars, and my pointer finger hurts and I cant get the bad smell of nailpolish remover out of my hands ( I wore a latex glove). Hopefully it will be done tomorrow, thanks for looking.

This is the crap that I used.

Hour and a half for 3 bars?!? Damn boy, go get some Goof Off and green steel wool pads from Home Depot asap! I did my whole grill last week in less than an hour.

Using the right products will defintely speed your process up. I used Citrusstrip Gel paint remover and that stuff worked great. Also using a razor blade to make a nice sharp edge works good and makes it look very consistent. Cheap Mod!!! Good Luck!

Yea, go to Home Depot and buy some of the Citrus stripper and some of that synthetic steel wool. You will be done with the whole thing in like an hour. Don't waste any more time with the acetone.

Use goof off; xylene is awesome, and it comes in a small tin.

And check this thread: https://www.clublexus.com/forums/gs-2nd-gen-1998-2005/29549-diy-chrome-grill-w-pics.html
