hey guys just wanted to post my experiance with alberts GS300 and Weapon*R intake install we did today.
For starters Albert is a really nice cool guy with a really nice cool car !
he has 20" wheels with L-Tuned lowering and i must say... it looks amazing!! It really does look awsome there is almost no wheel gap with the 20's and it makes the whole car have an amazing presence!
When the engine cooled off enough we proceeded to install the intake, just like i had done with my GS3. The install went pretty smoothly, but when it comes to cars if there is one thing you can garentee, its that when you install or modify things, there will always be problems. i'll let albert say what he wants, but i'll just back up my statement with each problem i have had with each mod:
GReddy exhaust, took 2 months to ship and then when it arrived my car's fuel injector messed up.
Legacy Subs, kept killing the battery even when they were off
Razo Shift **** - Gets way too cold in winter, but i knew that would happen
Quest Pedals - People that are not used to them hit the brake and the gas at the same time because the brake is so big (my uncle ray did this)
Weapon*R Intake - Couldn't figure out how to mount the stupid bracket and this one vacum hose is a ***** to get on.
So yes, installing things are hard and sometimes dont work out. But if you do your research and get everything ready, it will be worth it
After the install Albert took me around the block (which wasn't really a block haha, albert knows what i'm talking about) and i got to feel how the L-Tuned and 20's felt... very very very nice!! i love it
anyways i have to go for dinner i'll post more and pictures of his car when i get back

I have to thank Sasha for helping me setup the intake. He did a really good job!
I am not use to the sound a first, but it's growing on me now. Like Sasha said, there's always some glitch when install something, we are not professional. One thing concern me a bit is the heat...... maybe I didn't pay as much attention to my engine before, but I feel the engine bay to be hotter than usual after I got home. Sasha, is this normal?
Anyway, now we are both waiting for S-AFC Looking forward to meet up with Sasha again!

yea dude dont worry its very normal, when i felt my intake after the engine was run it was pretty hot, and so was stuff around it, i guess its because the headers have more room to release heat or something. Don't worry its all good

Thanks Richie, I really love the clean yet sporty look of my car.
This morning, I pop the hoop and found that the filter came off again (Sasha and I was having a tough time putting the secure bar and the filter together using only one tightening bell). I guess the overnight cooling plus the pull of the secure bar did the job. So, I went to Home Depot and bought a metal C clamp that is typically used for 2" pipe. With a bit bending, the clamp fit nicely onto the intake pipe. On each end of the clamp there's whole that fits 10mm screw. I bend one side to help hold the pipe. Then, I connect the secure bar to the other end. Anyway, the intake is now hold in place nicely without any pulling or pushing pressure on the filter.

ok thats good news i'm sorry to hear about it falling off... its so strange because i never had that problem, yet i have a problem of my intake not being angled in enough, it points too far to the side and not forward... makes me question the precision of weapon*r. Glad everything is workging fine for you dude, sorry about the troubles i dont know why it worked for me but not you....
anywyas its fixed now nothing to worry about
