Are you getting the URGE yet??
I'm wondering how many of you Second Generation GS owners are actually thinking about making the move to the Third Generation GS???
The thought has started to cross my mind more and more everyday..What about you?

You might ask If you could switch cars for free would you? Otherwise you have insecure 2nd gen owners who don't want to admit there car is nice but simly outdated. I had to step up. My 2nd gen was nice but it's seems old compared to the 3rd gen. Oh by the way sorry for pissing you all off with this comment

And the 460L is good enough for me.
After the teins cs install this weekend, I'm loving my gs even more

Not a chance. I'm sticking with 2gen for the looooonnnng haul. 120K miles and counting. They're like inverse-dog miles. Divide by 7 for real miles. So age is equivalent to 17K miles , given that I've replaced every part on the car, or at least that's what my wife says....
My next car may be a golf cart, or maybe a walker.

Yes, I sure am...I'm getting the urge for a Porsche. LOL
The 3rd gen is nice, but not nice enough for me to jump ship. I would need significantly more Lexus hp for me to even think about a 3rd gen.
Realistically, my next Lexus will be a new LS. Not because of the exterior, which simply looks nice to me, not gorgeous....it's that interior, and the quality of the LS workmanship that will when me over. Once modded with a clean body kit, lowered and add some 20s, and the new LS is gonna look fantabulous.
But before I own that, I want a 911. That's next. I'm already eye-ing one now. LOL

nope...I'm keeping my 98 GS until the engine dies...then I'll go out and find another engine to replace it, or maybe look at doing the whole turbo/SC thing. Im not really into fancy gadgetry and what not, and what ever technology my baby is missing, I'm sure I can add an aftermarket part here or there (navi, hid's, etc).

no way jose
2 gen being outdated , to me not reallly .. our 2 gen are one of the best designed auto on the road , a ton load of r&d went into the design and production of this model and they were built to last .. they were light years ahead in tech for its time
3 gen has not anything to me on 2 gen.... i have driven the 3 gen , it does not offer the same feel as the 2 gen , it looks too much like a maxima to me .
