Yeah, I am not saying that the search funtion is not good, it's great but.... post like theirs are useless to what you searched for.

" It's a damm Toyota " Gee that's good GS300 owner feedback !

Guys don't turn this into a flamefest like you see on other forums.

If you're going to tell someone to search, please tell them what keywords you think they should use and give them a few examples of threads you found using it to get them started.

For example... I found the following posts I think will be useful by

1) going to advanced search
2) using keywords 'most miles gs300'
3) pointing at the 2GS forum
4) changing the sort order returned to most replies or most views

https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=miles+gs300
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...ht=miles+gs300 (lots of links I'd usually past in here in this thread)

Bottom line, the GS300 2JZ is a fine and well designed engine that has been around for years in different varieties. It will be no speed demon and is not the most fuel efficient motor BUT is very reliable and really overbuilt as evidenced by the number of people that put FI on them.

Dispite the reliability issues, I've been in a GS300 and it feels really unpowered. A 3.0L is undersized for a full size sedan IMO. I ridden in my friend's GS300 and it felt like a torqueless Civic compared to my GS400.

AND...the 400 with 17 mpg and the 300 with 19 mpg, why not just go for the V8? An additional 80 HP and 80 TQ is lots of fun!

I though it got better than 19 mpg. And it did feel slow to pull especially on the low end.

my gs has 195,000 miles and its a 99. I get around 28 mpg on the highway, probably around 20-22 in the city. Motor runs smooth and has no issues.

I had the opportunity to ride in a members GS 300 and thought the power was pretty decent considering the 225 HP.. and he also had the EDFC which i had felt for the first time and with a press of a button the car really tightens up with the programable settings..

Hey man relax... I made a comment to the post because it pertains to the Gs300. I have ridden in another members car.. etc. The GS300 is a great car and like it just as much as the 400.. Either one would be a a great vehicle. Yes maybe EDFC was off the topic but i just added it in there.
