ok on a turbo car are the camshafts made of aluminum and are they really weak and likely to warp? if so whats the best way to fix this?

is VVT-i alsoaffected by this? if so how can i fix that? thanks guys

it's not whether a car is turbo or not to see what the cam shaft is made of. It's different in every engine.

BTW, some of the strongest camshafts are made from carbon fiber. You probably don't need to worry about snapping one if you're running below 600RWHP.

thanks guys, some lady mechanic told me this "here is a tip when buying used cars, don't buy turbo, they have aluminum camshafts that warp" "what kind of cars? supras and stuff?" "celicas, supras, any japanese turbo car"

was she wrong?

yes.

they engine internals vary from car to car.
