Default black wood interior

I am just wondering does anyone have blackwood in their Gs's and do you by chance have any pictures? I am contemplating getting it, but I want to know if it will look too dark with black interior?
Thanks.

Please do an ADVANCED search for Blackwood under the 2nd gen GS forum section. There is info on this going back several years. If you don't see a pic of it on a black interior I will post mine.

I don't think it's too dark, just a lower profile look than thestandard wood. Still looks better IMO.

I wasn't that impressed by the blackwood kits I found for the GS.

There is a nice one from Japan, but it doesn't fit the center console correctly on left-hand drive cars.

Or, there is a veneer kit that looks like plastic (in my opinion).

I didn't like any of these options, so I had my friend "smoke" mine. In the shade, it looks basically black, but in the sunlight it looks like dark cherry. You have to remove all the door panels to get the wood out for this treatment, but it is quite effective.

Here's a shot in the sunlight.

I kind of like that, it looks darker, do you know how much the cost of doing that will ruin?

Tuddy,
You can probably have American Stitches convert your steering wheel like that!

not sure what you consider reasonable, but when he parted out his car, he was asking $1500 for all the pieces.

Tuddy,
You will keep your e-shift function because you send your actual steering wheel and they convert for you. Can you please send me some picture of the blackwood in your car and how much!

Also for $1500 I will learn to love the wood as it is
