Default 01 430 Navi Diagnostic Mode

Hi, can anyone please help me get into the diagnostic mode on my 01 430 with navi. This is what I do.

I turn the car on, hold the climate and audio button, turn the parking lights on and off 3 to 4 times.

I get a menu that is Japanesse. I have 2 buttons on the bottom right on the screen. I press the right one. And it does the self check again. I press the one next to it on the left, and it switches to all Japanesse.

I would like to get to the part that I can adjust settings and get to the audio menu.

I tried searching, and cannot find anything better. Someone please, please help me. I would like to test this out. Thanks.

Mine is a 98 and I don't ever see anything in Japanese when I run the Diagnostic mode. That must be something on the newer nav units. Maybe someone can chime in that has the newer nav like you.

Push the menu button on the navi, then press the DVD button...

Tap top left of navi screen, bottom left, top left, bottom left, then bottom right. You should get into the setup area.

SlickGT,

I'm just curious, what are you trying to do in diagnostic mode?

Would it be the same 'code' that allows you to input address while driving?

Ok, press the info then the display button. Then tap the upper left screen and right above the contrast in the lower left corner of the screen, do it quickly about 3 times, but not super fast. It'll dump you into the diagnostic menu, which you wanted.

No, I don't think you can do that. I just really want to be able to go in there and at least see what can be changed on our 430. Some people are even able to modify the output of the stock amp, and improve the sound in their cars.
