its in the passenger glove compartment. Look at Gsteg's post a couple above this and it tells you directly how to get to it.

You cant really clean it unless you have a re-usable filter. Best recommendation is to just buy an HVAC filter for your home AC and cut it to size. Lot cheaper, and you have a bunch left over to change your filter at a later date as well.

To find the filter, Open up your glove box compartment. There should be a removeable thin plastic piece that you can lift up to remove. Once you got that out of the way, straight ahead, there should be another plastic piece and on it, there is a word on it that says "UP" with an arrow for indication. Just pull that out and you'll see the filter. Pull that out and replace filter. It's that easy.
problem is u get dust in ur interior a lot easier with windows down
and u wont be able to enjoy the quietness and the music in the cabin

even though when the weather is nice here in vancouver, i still keep my windows up and use AC
the comfort and amentities are worth more than the little gas savings IMO
i just try to drive a little more careful when im in fuel saving mode

its funny, sometimes i drive extra careful to get my MPG up
then when it reaches 20, i think to myself, oh ive done a good job and now i can award myself with some fun and spirited driving
lol
then it drops down to 18
then i started to drive carefully again
and it goes on

anyways
i havent had a chance to put in my homemade AC filter (that i made a few months back thanx to e-man's thread) in the car yet
my original filter is still pretty clean as the car only has 19500 miles
sort of dark grey right now
ill wait for it to get darker

Another thing about that DIY filter. Those are white out of the box. I think the factory one is gray/black color from the factory. Obviously not black, but its a darker shade. Might be why the dirt shows up so much more on that white HVAC filter.

I checked before... ALL the air gets filtered, weather from outside, or rec

Your right, factory filter is a charcoal one.
