the threads is really a tiral and error thing for your particular vehicle. But your mechanic should be able to set this up for you as part of the instalation

Like Morris said it is trial and error. Really no way to look at the threads and know what specific amount of turns to get you the desired height. You just have to set it, lower it and look at it on the ground, then adjust as needed. You wont get it on the first try unless you are extremely lucky.

I'm in the same boat but with Bilsteins. Are there any sensors or wiring that a mechanic should be fore warned about before installing coil overs? I read horror stories about rear suspension mods pinching VSC wiring causing problems.

AJ - be really honest with yourself and figure out if you want a soft - luxury feeling ride before you put the Tein CS on your car... Think LS430 soft...

i swapped from the bilstein/eibach combo and most likely wouldn't do it again because it offered a sportier ride (think bmw ish) and it gave me more confidence going into corners than the tein CS setup.

if you want a REALLY posh ride this is the setup to have. if you want a ride where you feel more direct response from the road then reconsider before you put these in.

you have to pull back the rear carpet to get to the adjustment ****. You can cut into the carpet as well but I wouldn't suggest it if you want to sell the car without having to explain you were too busy to pull back the carpet...

The dampening adjustment **** sits on top of the coilovers. Turn it all the way (clicks) to the right and then 10 clicks back to the left to get to the 'standard' setting I believe.

Congrats on your purchase. The CS is on the soft side and is not as confident inspiring around the twisties like other setups I've felt. After the install, drive the car around the block so the coilovers can settle in a bit for final height adjustment. Wait one week before you get an alignment. You "may" need more than one alignment at a later date, as the coilovers settle in.

No, it's a very simple install, if you need to give guidance to your mechanic/installer, it may be time to switch to another mechanic/installer...

I did mine with EDFC with my friend in my garage in 4 hours// to me, the edfc is harder than the coilover itself... I set it the lowest and then adjusted to the height, it takes me two tries to get it...

Tein lists a starting point in the manual. if you raise the perches about 1/4 inch from the stock Tein setting, you should get the drop you are looking for. that's what I did.
