I built this Xbox a long time ago and even had it in my old ES, in fact I actually have three just like this(One at my place, one in the car, and one at my girl's house). Anyway, in both cars it was sitting on the floor while I contemplated how to mount in underneath the glove compartment. Then along came the Alpine touchscreen and I put the brain in the passenger-side kickpanel for some crazy reason and it blocked the ability to easily mount the xbox. When I recently installed the JL XR650 component set I decided to take on the daunting task of moving it underneath the passenger seat. And boy did that take an entire day to do it right. I dread pulling out the seat again although I have to do it again soon because Im getting some more parts that everyone will find out soon. Then, the next day I had a stroke of genius. I went to the hardware store and bought two pieces of aluminum measuring 4ft x 1inch x 1/8 of an inch. I used a hammer, a brick wall, some patients and eventually shaped it into a suitable mount for the xbox. Using the left 10mm bolt on the glove compartment and a 10mm bolt behind the kickpanel the mount was fully secure and I can finally let everyone know what put the "xbox" in Lexbox. Soon enough I will have the entire Xbox color-matched to the interior.

The only editing this file received was splitting it. A little ways through the audio gets out of sync which I would have fixed but I think you guys get the idea. Im not really sure why it got out of sync with 2 gigs of RAM and the fastest processor on the market but, oh well. The file was originally 80mb and roughly 20 minutes long which no online service was willing to host. It has been split into three parts for your viewing pleasure.

I dont really know why I felt the need to do this but I have thrown in proof that this video was of my sole creation. Everything from pictures of the best looking rides on our section of the forums to actually surfing the internet on my Xbox to the ClubLexus site to browse my Lexbox Mods II thread. If that isnt proof enough then I dont know what is. If I missed anyone's car I do apologize.

Who ever knew ClubLexus was a game? I forgot to mention that there is a 320gig hard drive that you can see on the right in the first picture. I do have a wireless controller for the car but it is currently being modified as well.

Holy crap that skin is sick! Tranman you have to hook me up with that skin, if nothing else just the front page, I can do the rest. Did you have it custom photoshopped? It looks like a slightly modified version of Project Mayhem 3.

 

admittedly I dont know much about modded gaming consoles, but damn....that is the sickest xbox I have ever laid eyes on. Very cool.

 

Well, the XBMC build that is in my car is pre-skin 2.0...so I gotta update the skin to a newer version...which if I have time today or tomorrow, I will. I'm kinda itching to upgrade to the newest build since there are the new additions and animations. I'll let you know.

As far as the graphic, all I did was float a graphic image over XBMC in the home.xml. I'm actually thinking of working on a custom Home screen that is Lexus inspired, but stays within the confines of the PMIII skin. Again, I'll let you know
