While you explore power flush etc, you may like to pull the codes by visiting Autozone or the dealership.
With successive drain and fill you can get the additive completly out. I suspect it is more than just the additive. Could be fuel or air+fuel mixture. [just a wild guess based on cool engine works better]

the warning indicators did come back one today, but only after moderate knocking from the motor. the knocking only came during acceleration. It wasn't as bad as yesterday, though, but still pretty severe. It gor slightly better with the oil change. I reset the ecu and the warning indicators havent come back on yet.
as far as fuel+air mixture, everything seems fine when its running right. I only use 93 octane, recently got a new air filter, all o2 sensors are fairly new, etc.

At this point, I think it's best to get the car towed over to the dealer. Something could have possibly happend to the motor. Also, you need to know what the codes are. I wouldn't trust driving the car any further. If it is mechanical, you don't want to cause anymore damage. How many miles do you have on the car?

i just drove it one more time for about 6-7 miles after another oil change. i did not get any knock or throw any warning lights. no matter what, i'm still gonna have the bilstein machine flush my engine out, but i really don't wanna bring it to the dealer quite yet. my car just rolled 112,000 miles.
