The rest of your HVAC system other than the AC filter would have been cleared out now. I would suggest you now change your AC filter as that is the only thing left that could be causing this problem.

Is it bad to run the car with A/C on and temperature on 85? Because sometimes in the winter, I turn on the climate control and the A/C always turns on when i want to heat the car and the temperature is on 85. Having the A/C run during the winter time is bad right?

No, that is actually good for the A/C to come on now and then simply so that the compressor gets lubricated and does not sieze up from not being used for those 4 -5 months of winter.

In California we run our A/C compressors year-round, so we don't have periods of inactivity. The compressor runs nearly everyday to smooth out the idle..

Not sure if this would help but I had this prob. before in my old 94 Accord. Get the car checked at the garage and the A/C part (not exactly sure what's it called) was loaded with rat poo, dead bugs & dead cockroaches... The shope clean them out and the smell was gone.. things like this can get in the car when you left the car parked at night..

Okay I changed the cabin filter, but there is still a faint smell that comes out. It def got a lot better. But i guess im very nit picky and would like it not to stink as well.

anything else i can change or do?

to add to Hameed's reply, using the AC in conjunction with heat will also help to dry the air and reduce humidity. next time its cold and wet out, notice how much faster the windows defog with the AC on as compared to off.

nyczdave. try a fabric softener dryer sheet on top of your cabin filter. or a glade plug ins refill wedged in the filter. have you tried spraying lysol into the air intake and exhaust ducts? the can says it kills 99.99% of germs, bacteria, and mildew if im not mistaken.
