Don't laugh at me, I traded in my 2004 M3 for a 2003 GS3 Sport Design. Beofre I got the M I had an 06 G35 Coupe. My wife hated the SMG transmission in the M and couldn't even drive it which is what prevoked the trade to the Lexus. My wife jsut told me to get a "normal" car for everday driving and a toy for the weekends.
I really had my heart set on an 01' or 02' M3, but it still cost too much at the time (06'). I picked up my GS400 instead for $15000 and about half the price of a M3. Do you think your wife would know if you secretly 2JZ'ed the GS? Haha.

I think I'm one of few people who actually got money back from the dealer when I traded in my car, the M was worth more than the G3. Driving the M in Chicago traffic every day got to be a PIA, not to mention it didn't give the best impression when I was with clients.

I'm not worried about the performance of the G, more the looks. I'll put wheel and coilovers on in the spring and be done with it. The agreement when I traded the M was to get a reasonable daily driver (the G3), and get a weekend "toy". I'm hoping to find a late production 993 to take fill in for the G on weekends.

i know you're probably used to talking about your "m3" chief, but at the very least your new ride is a gs3 or a gs300... g3 sounds like you're talking about your infinity and forgot to add the "5" and just "g"...well, come on thats like typing out "l8tr" instead of later.

Sold the little Lex to buy a big Lex, needed more room and more power, the IS200 was only a 2 litre in line six, I believe you guys only have the 3 litre version, both were available in Australia but I could only afford the 200, not many IS300's here any way

My last car was a 2000 Civic Si. It took me almost a year to build. Stripped the whole car, custom paint, revamped suspensions, brakes etc etc, fully built motor, GT3071 turbo, the works. Put down 466hp at 19lbs of boost, had only 750cc injectors so was running at 89% efficiency, didnt want to push it further than that. Best part, I still had almost every option the car came with stock. A/C, powersteering, cruise control. A looot of hours of research and time went into her and was definitely worth the build.
