Default Rear wheels question

First time replacing the rear pads. Quick new question, how do I take off the rear wheels?

I took all the lug nuts off, but something else is keeping it tight on there

the WHEELS? after you remove the lugnuts, it should come off.. you have stock wheels? they might just be rusted to the rotor or something like that.. hit the rubber with a rubber hammer and it should come free.. good luck

Actually I have afterkmarket BBS wheels, but I don't see anything that should be keeping it on there other than the 5 lug nuts. The front ones came off without a problem.

Thanks

The steel hub has about a 3/16 of an inch lip that centers the wheel. The hub may be rusted. With all the lug nuts removed, the wheel will wabble off the lip. The rear hub may not match the front exactly.

Be sure you center the wheel on this lip prior to reinstalling the wheel lugs tight. The steel hub may damage the inner lip edge of the wheel.

don't know.. there shouldn't be anything holding the wheel on at all if you removed the lugs.. good luck finding the problem..

Did you jack up the rear end before trying to remove the wheels?

Good job, Robert DeNiro used that same approach to a problem in "The Untouchables".

Yep, they're rusted on there. Could be around the hub or even the back face of the wheel to the face of the rotor. Had the same issue with my stock wheels just the other day. Took a pretty good kick all around the tire to get it to turn loose.
