Does anybody have any information or exprience on how to change (reduce) timing of changing gears through e-shifting (up- and downshifts)? Thank you.

I would like the gears to be changed much faster when using e-shift. Factory settings are to slow. You have to wait for a relatively long time before selected gear is engaged, wheather upshifting or downshifting. All my previous cars had manual transmission. I found it pretty frustraiting, having all this power and torque not being available immediatly, especially when driving slowly and in need to accelerate immediately.
By the way. fully automatic is even slower, even in "power mode", unless CPU is constantly reset, or driving like a maniac all the time. Downshifting 2 gears down in automatic mode takes to long and is very annoying while pushing the gas pedal and feeling transmission hesitating... . Is that the reason e-shift is not installed on the latest 430 models?

You and the rest of us want faster shifts!
E-shift, evident by its name, goes thru the ECU. Changing the shift programming is no easy task, and not yet available. Swift Racing was supposedly working on a "tranny ECU", but havn't heard status in a while.
Some CL members have gone with a custom torque converter, available through Precision Induxtries and Swift Racing.
The reason the GS430 doesn't have e-shift, and it's a shame in terms of peformance driving, is because Lexus went for ULEV certification.

Does the torque converter work well? I wonder if anybody that has it could expand on how much difference it makes, I've been thinking about getting one. Do you need any other mods before install a torque converter?
