I have the HKS exhaust on my GS300 and love it. I also had it on my GS400 and I felt the same way. The dual rear section exhaust gives a deep tone and is very very mellow at idle. The mufflers are 130mm in diameter and the tips are 120mm. I will try to get a good picture soon.

HKSpower, hey I need some info, if you don't mind . My buddy has a GS300 and wants to get an exhaust that sounds like a deep V8 hum. When you had your exhaust on the GS300, how does that sound? Does it sound more like a high-beelike sound that you find on honda's or the deep v8-like sound on the GS400?

thanks man,.

HKSPower,

How much did you pay for your Exhaust? I'm in the market to get one too. I like HKS because I have use them for my Supra TT. Is it the dragger? or what model is it that will fot the GS 430?

hey will
do you think that hks is the way to go or would you recommend another brand. Is the sound change noticeable or so mellow that you can t tell. Is it as low of a sound like a vette or something or what. finnally is it louder(better) than a boarla system.

thanks

Dieselman:
No prob, anytime for info is cool by me. Just to clearify, I have the exhaust on my GS300 now and had it on my GS400 before. The sound is still very deep and non-obtrusive. It sounds no where close to the raspy sound that you would get on a honda with and cheap or incorrect sized muffler. Here is a link to how the exhaust sounded on my GS400. http://hks-power.com/exhaust/listen.html The GS300 is just about as deep. The stock motor on the GS is a stout 3.0l inline 6 that produces a good amount of exhaust flow, so I wouldnt be concerned about the tingy sound from a honda. HKs offers a single Hiper for the IS300 and it sounds fairly deep, so the Dual hiper on the GS300 would be a bit more deeper.

Dnguyen:
The dual Hiper rear system retails for about 720, but can be purchased at a pretty good price from any HKS dealer. Let me know where you are from and I will see if there is a dealer near you athat I can recommend. I too used HKS for my Supra TT. I used the Drager and the Hiper. The system for the GS is a Hiper system with a muffler on each side. It will fit the GS300, GS400, and GS430.

Babyboy:
I am happy with my HKS system, it offers good performance, sound, quality and fitment. If you like the way that it looks (personal preference) then I say go for it, I have nothing bad to say about it. The Greddy is the only cat back, but tends to be lound on GS300 (so i hear). The sound is noticeable on the HKS under thottle and is very mellow at idle. I have not heard the borla system on the GS300, but have just recently seen the pictures of it.

Hope that helps...if you have any other questions...let me know..I will do what I can to offer anything here.

Willie

HKSpower,

Sorry for the late reply. I live in the SF bay area. Which place is a good place to go to?

Daniel,

I see that you are in the Union City area of the SF Bay Area, the closest HKS dealer to you is in Fremont. Bozz Performance is the name of the shop and the # is (510) 657-4393. Ask for Jerry or Kenric, and tell them that Willie from HKS referred you. They can so sales and installation for you. If you are just looking for parts alone, there are other places, but not really near by. Hope that helps.

Willie
