No, its not just you guys, everything has to be in proportion and a 4" lip looks sick on a GS. Even on the 7series alot of people get all googoo gaagaa for a 6" lip, when I think the 5" looks plenty huge!

I think everyone has their own style and taste why it comes to wheels. What is proportionate to others might not be enough or too much to someone else. And any car (including the GS), can be modified to suit the size of lip it has on.
If my car was bone stock with a conservative drop, I don't think my wheels would look proportionate to the body. I for one would like to see GS400 Alex project done before I can give me honest opinion.
