ok so, i was driving at like 40 mph... and hit a puddle of water on the right side of the vehicle, causing the water to splash like some theme park ride...

and then my check engine light goes on *worried alot*

turned off the car... heard some crackling sounds... like pop rocks... which is normal after driving a car, but this time it was a lot louder than usual and more frequent, coming from underneath the car more on the passenger side

waiting till the morning to see what happens when it dries up (the water).... any suggestions or anyone know what's the prob?

Hopefully the crackling was just the metal contracting/expanding at a higher rate due to the added variable of the water. Hope it dries and all is well. I have no specific knowledge of electronics on that side other than the fuses etc. gl

check if your air filter is wet.

just an update... went to my mechanic... he cleared it... said it might be a bad O2 sensor... drive around and see what happens i guess!
