Default seem like your car runs better in the cool dry air?

man this cool air makes the car scream.. I seem to be lightning them up at about half throttle.

Cool air is denser air, eg, more oxygen. Also, the efficiency of any gasoline engine is proportional to the difference between air going in and exhaust coming out (Carnot cycle, for all you thermodynamicists), so you can think of cooler weather as God's own intercooler.

So both conditions yield more power. Smoke 'em if ya got 'em.
