Man, I am glad to hear that you got the car back at least. I have been reading the threads every day several times to see or hear any out comes. I know how it feels to have a car stolen off of you property and it never is the same and you will always be looking out now.

Well I am glad to hear that it was found and it is great to be part of a community (CL) that will take the time out to try to look for some vehicles. Everyone on here is very genuine and is always concerned about the well being of others and their cars, you dont get that on the honda forums, but it is definately a great forum and club to belong to.

Those dumb $$$ punks will get what is coming to them! I believe in Carma!

Definately keep us updated!

Cheers,

First lets try to get his stuff back and then give them what they deserve.

[QUOTE=GSoup]I spoke to Tone a little while ago. He doesn't have access to a computer right now. The detective assigned to the case just called him up. They let him know tthe car was recovered a couple of hours ago in Jamaica, Queens.

Well according to the detective they took all the audio/tv screens and they crashed the car.

When I was in Bridgeport,CT a while ago. I got my car stolen 15 minutes after going inside my boys house. Those kids are good. The police up north were not pleasant to deal with either. They kept putting me on hold and claimed i was yelling at them. They eventually found my car 2 weeks later crashed into a pole. They even took my dirty draws.

One of my friends rigged up a plug in his car under the dash. Basically when he left his car for extended periods of time, or parked ina bad area. He would reach under the dash and pull the connector. I believe the wires were to the fuel injectors and fuel pump. I'd love to see the look on the theives face when the engine cranks but won't start....lol. Talk about a "manual" engine immobolizer.

I'm glad that you got your car recovered relatively intact. I mean it coulda been a little worse....just a little Anyways, I hope you can get the insurance to deal with this matter and get everything sorted out soon. Best of luck to you!

If you still have the heart in you to throw money into the car after this incident. Don't forget to put the alarm on top of the list.

I'm glad to hear Tone got the car back. Do we know if they had a key or rigged the car to start someway?

I work for a Lexus dealer in Florida. We program new keys all the time, Lexus does have a great imobilizer system. I would suggest that Tone takes the car to a local dealer and has all the keys wiped out as well as the remotes, he then can program in only the keys he actually has. This may be a little cheaper than rplacing all the lock cyl.

Good luck and I hope the insurance comes through for you .

I thought that car had the chip in the key, and starter imobilization. That means that they cannot be hot wired.

The Keeloq technology which is in the Lexus transponer keys can be defeated by thieves.
